I was born in Farmington, New Mexico, home of deserts, orchards, and oil fields, and not far from the Navajo Indian Reservation to the south, and the Rocky Mountains to the north. I grew up with an appreciation for the Navajo silversmiths and weavers. When I went to Northern Arizona University I majored in Metalsmithing. After that I spent a few years making custom wedding bands for people. Then there were children and lots of years of being a Mom and not making jewelry. Among other things, I’ve lived in Arizona, then South Africa, Zimbabwe, Malawi, and Texas. I’m now a grandmother as well.

About 10 years ago I returned to being a silver/goldsmith full time, and now I have my own jewelry shop that features... tada... my own work, along with other artists whose work I just like and that fits in with my look. I particularly enjoyed (did I say “enjoyed”, I mean “loved”, and more) working on a couple of original charms for some people this year, and got some continuing inspiration from a one-of-a-kind necklace and earrings that I did for a special gift in November of 2003.

Tribal cultures believe that a bit of the artist’s spirit goes into the things he makes. I think I believe that maybe more than I can admit to myself.

Birthstones fascinate me, so be sure and take a look at that section here on my website!

Meanwhile, thank you for dropping in to visit! If you see something here that you like, email me at info@fsgfinejewelry.com or, better yet, come in and see me in Salado! And bring me hugs - I like hugs!
